ai-scan.net provides plagiarism detection, AI content analysis, and related tools. These Services allow users to scan written content for originality and readability.

The Website and all associated intellectual property, including reports and algorithms, are owned by System Technology Online Spain SL and its licensors.

All rights not expressly granted to you under this Agreement remain the property of ai-scan.net.

2. Privacy and Data Processing

11. Service Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Website or Services if:

• Necessary to protect the system or prevent fraud;
• You breach these Terms or misuse the Services.

Termination will not relieve you of any outstanding payment obligations.

12. Fees and Payment

Service fees are displayed on our Website and may be updated periodically.

All payments are processed securely via 2CheckOut and other trusted providers.

Applicable taxes or duties are the responsibility of the customer.

13. Refund Policy

All payments made for plagiarism checks, AI detection, readability analysis, and related paid features are, in general, final and non-refundable.

A limited exception may be considered only for the most recent billing period and only if all of the following conditions are met simultaneously:

• the refund request is submitted within 5 (five) calendar days from the date of the charge;
• no use of the Service has occurred during that billing period; and
• the request is submitted by the legitimate account holder through the official support channels.

For the purposes of this policy, “use of the Service” includes, without limitation:

• submission of documents for plagiarism checking;
• use of AI detection, readability analysis, or other paid features;
• API requests or use through integrations; and
• any activity that consumes credits, limits, or system resources.

No refunds will be granted for earlier billing periods under any circumstances, including cases where the user failed to cancel a recurring subscription in time.

Subscriptions renew automatically according to the selected billing period. The user is solely responsible for managing and cancelling the subscription before the next billing date.

Cancellation prevents future charges only and does not create any right to a refund for the current billing period.

Editing and proofreading services may be subject to a separate refund policy of up to 14 days where applicable.

All refund requests are reviewed individually, and the final decision remains at the sole discretion of the company.

To request a refund, the user must send a request to [email protected] including the account details and the reason for the request. Requests are normally processed within 3–4 business days.

14. Limitation of Liability

ai-scan.net and its licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services in the 30 days preceding the incident.

Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations, so certain provisions may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ai-scan.net, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of:

• Your misuse of the Services;
• Your violation of these Terms; or
• Any infringement of third-party rights.
